Zaragoza sculpture made with salvaged wood by Jose Antonio Andres Vera

Zaragoza, named after the city in northern Spain, is a sculpture made with salvaged wood. This art piece, created specifically for the ExpoZaragoza event in 2008, which central theme was water and sustainable development, is an anthropomorphic play of the letter Z. Sculpted from salvaged walnut, this inspiring creation is an evocative and playful piece of art.

With the help of his tools, Jose Antonio Andrés Vera repurposes reclaimed wood that bears a process of aged deterioration. The wood, which has been naturally sculpted into stunning raw pieces, is then given form into conceptual and evocative pieces of art.
